The Rufous Sabrewing is a magnificent hummingbird species native to the tropical forests of Central America, primarily found in countries like Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras. This medium-sized hummingbird measures about 12-15 cm (4.7-5.9 inches) in length and weighs between 6-8 grams (0.21-0.28 ounces). Its most striking feature is its rich rufous (reddish-brown) plumage, which is beautifully complemented by its metallic green head and back, creating a stunning display of natural colors.
